So a while back we decided to run a materials test for 3D printing with some SLA/PLA materials. What better way to have some fun then to use something iconic!
First thing we needed was a flat version of it (thanks to the internet)
Second, tracing the emblem in all of its detail.
Lastly, creating the serrated edge which left us with a high resolution Batman throwing star which could be exported for a 3D print.
And then the final printed star in a PLA material.
